Nitro Vikings gearing up for 2025

The 2025 season is getting closer, and the Nitro Vikings crew is full of energy! 💥

While we don’t yet have the budget to run the full European Championship, we’re making the most of what we can do. Right now, we’re aiming for Meguiar’s Drag Festival at Mantorp Park in July – which is shaping up to be the biggest Top Fuel showdown of the year with eight cars on the lineup! 🚀 On top of that, we’ll be making some serious noise at Drag Challenge on Gardermoen in August. Last year, we had planned to start Linn’s licensing runs there, but Norway’s nitro ban put a stop to that. Thankfully, that’s all sorted now, and we’re beyond excited to bring nitro racing back to Gardermoen!

Making Every Race Count

Of course, before we hit the track, there’s a ton of work to do. This weekend, we’re getting together for our third team weekend of the year, where we’ll be working on the trailer, supercharger, and cylinder heads. But it doesn’t stop there—between these team gatherings, there’s constant work happening in the shop: welding, clutch grinding, rebuilding cylinder heads, organizing the trailer, and making sure every single part is ready to handle 11,000 horsepower. It’s a massive effort, but we’re all fired up to make it happen!

First Stop: Autopia in Stavanger!

Before we get to racing, we’re kicking off the season at Autopia in Stavanger, the weekend after Easter. We’ll be there with the dragster on display, talking to fans, answering questions, and hopefully getting more people hooked on the insane world of Top Fuel drag racing. If you’ve never seen a 11,000-horsepower engine up close, now’s your chance!

Late Nights in the Workshop

In the meantime, we’re getting our hands dirty in the shop. Check out this clip from a late-night session, where Martin is welding some key components on the chassis. One of the things he’s working on is the X-bracing—a crucial part that allows the car to flex and twist at insane speeds without breaking apart.

We’re fired up for 2025! Who’s ready for some nitro action? Drop a comment and let us know! 🔥💪

PS: Can You Help Us Race More?

Right now, the biggest thing holding us back from running more races is funding – mainly for spare parts (because, let’s be real… nitro racing devours parts). The best way to help? Spread the word! If you know a company that might want a VIP experience at the track, we’re making that happen – especially at Drag Challenge on Gardermoen. We’ve got some great packages for businesses that want to be part of the Nitro Vikings journey!
